Today a team of P5-7 girls and boys took part in The Ulidia Cup. Many thanks to Mr Jennings for organising and hosting the cup (Braniel P.S). Special thanks also goes to Daniel Melin, an ex pupil who came along to help referee matches. Our team were phenomenal from the first whistle to the last. They fought hard, kept 7 clean sheets, and finished the league stages of the cup, in second place with 13 points, to book their place in the semi-finals. In the semi-final they were unbelievable and beat Forge IPS (A team) by 1 goal, to secure their place in the final against Braniel PS. The final was a fantastic, nail biting end to end match, after 10 minutes it finished in a scoreless draw, meaning a penalty shoot-out! After a very tense sudden death penalty shootout, team KPS emerged victorious after beating Braniel by 5 goals to 4. Well played Braniel, it was a close game! Mrs Fletcher and Mrs Melin are very proud of the newly crowned 2025 Ulidia Cup Winners. They were amazed by the teamwork, discipline, and resilience from everyone involved! Special mention for our two players of the day, Jude (LW) and our goalkeeper Oliwier (8 clean sheets). Fantastic effort boys! Also, huge shout out to all our goal scorers, especially our P7 girls, who played their final game for our school. Thank you, Nell, Kodi (injured) and AJ for all of your commitment and hard work, we are glad you finished on a high! #UlidiaCupWinners2025 Nell (2) AJ (2) Jude (1) Ryan (1) Oliwier (1) P5 (2)
