Our Eco Council are a committed bunch of key stage 1 and 2 children who work hard to be elected by
their peers, to be a part of our vital team of councillors who help us all to follow our school Eco
The children meet regularly and work together with Miss Fletcher and Mrs Hart; their role includes
planning assemblies, class presentations, running competitions and events to help our school to
lower its carbon footprint and to help us ALL to be ECO COOL.
To date, they have been responsible for:
helping us to become a waste free school (all non-compostable and non-recyclable waste goes
use refillable water bottles (discourage single use plastics)
encouraging us to make smarter and healthier choices with our break time snacks
helping us to keep our school grounds clean and tidy
All of which has resulted in us obtaining our Eco school green flag award.
